Larp Gear II - KH III by kickfoot Larp Gear II - KH III by kickfoot
Me and my brother, dressed up as a members of "The Brotherhood of the Black Sun", one of the fractions in the upcoming Larp "Krigshjärta III" - these pictures do not portrait the actual gear we will wear ourselves, this stuff is old, but can serve as an inspirational concept.

heh, gamla gamla bilder, innan jag visste särskilt mycket om kompisiton och grejer, men tack!
Skjutvapnen på KH är antingen moddade replikor som man använder knallkorkar till, eller så är det krutladdningar fast utan skott.

i think this is kinda ordinary linen fabric, not entirely sure, this was some time ago :)

Got any pictures? would love to see :), id also love to visit an american larp sometime, but, its a bit to travel, and if id go to the us, im not i'd want to bring my larp stuff.. but, a guy can dream.. just that it would be great to experience different Larp cultures, as i understand it, you have kinda different larps than us here in sweden.

We had a fellow get his armor through customs from South Africa. We had a blast and loved it. I'll have my costuming back together in February. Working on new leather parts, and replacing my more stock purchase stuff with hand made.

i like this style ^^ gonna start soon on making something like this ^^ do you have any tips like on the leather? or on details?

the basic tip i have, is to use a variation of leather, combine thick and thin, and avoid fake stuff as much as you can..

for small scraps of thin leather, look up businesses that for example repair leather couches, they normally just throw their scraps away, and might be willing to give, or sell cheaply.

ah thanks allot ^^one more question....
where did you get the larp gun??
Reply

bought that on an flea market, but iv seen them on antique shows as well...
its not really a "larp" gun, but a modded antique piece.. With this, we fired blackpowder charges, but, ofcourse, we didnt load with any bullets .)

but, if you want similar, theres hobby stores that sell replicas, that you can mod so that you can "fire" with them, ie. give of a loud bang as you pull the trigger.

great gear : D gave me lots of ideas of how to actually carry stuff.

so I'm going on a larp quite soon and i saw you wear your sword on the back. I've got a katana and it's too long for me to wear it on the side...think you could take a pic of how you carry it or explain it ;p? would be awesome!

There are special backscabbards for that. Don't know where you're from, but Having a Larp from England sells them.
